BSB has a rolling admissions policy. We accept new students throughout the year.

Admission to the British School of Beijing is based on each pupil's ability to access the curriculum and to contribute in a positive way to the school.

We are committed to ensuring that those with the ability can gain access to the top universities world wide or are able to continue their schooling at the highest level should they leave us before.

Skills in English and maths are evaluated for all applicants from Year 1 (age 6) upwards and we interview all students to get a holistic picture beyond just their academic level. We expect all students to contribute to school life outside of the classroom including the areas of sports, drama and music.

English language support is available for some pupils but these places are limited. Also, in keeping with the school’s policy of diversity, a limit may be placed per year group on the number of pupils of the same nationality.
