Each Y1 – Y6 class elects a Student Council representative who then attends twice monthly meetings. Issues important to the classes are discussed and often remedied. These have included the introduction of Kids’ Choice Lunches, adjustments to our uniform, new playtime equipment and arrangements, among others. The Student Council raises money for its own projects, which have included purchasing additional playground equipment and supporting local and international charities (Coal for Kids, Nothing But Nets in Africa and Care for Children in Beijing). Student Council offers our pupils genuine leadership opportunities and the chance to participate in meaningful change in their school.
